APPROACH

I see therapy as a non-judgmental place where we can come together and be curious about what is prompting you to seek therapy. Through being curious, we can work towards getting relief from your most pressing problems and gain insight and awareness to assist you in feeling empowered to live authentically.

My hope is to identify and expand upon your strengths, increase your self-compassion, and explore how our societal context, paired with your individual experiences, are impacting your concerns.

My goal is for you to feel safe and welcome in our therapy space and to offer inclusive services. I am personally and professionally committed to understanding and acknowledging how issues of privilege and oppression intersect with your identities and how our overlapping and differing identities impact our work together.

Research shows that the relationship between the therapist and the client is the most important factor that contributes to success in therapy. If you think we would be a good fit, please contact me!

ABOUT ME

Amanda Weaver, PsyD (she/her/hers)

I think I may have been destined to be a therapist. As a kid, I was often called “nosy” (and I probably still am). People and their stories fascinate me and I find it an immense privilege to connect with folks and help them examine their life.

I am a licensed psychologist residing in Denver, Colorado. I received my Doctorate of Psychology in 2020 from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. I completed my predoctoral internship at the University of South Carolina and my postdoctoral residency at the University of Denver.
